This is sequence of events with DETAILS as given by Victim, 28 yr. old lady:

Wed. evening, 8/29 Fire Ants "Attack" and cortisone gel is applied within an hour or so---prior to bedtime. Victim experienced marked itching, pain, scratched a lot, did not sleep well & was up several times during that night.
Thurs. evening, 8/30, Victim remembered having IRF. She first took pix, "in case it helped" and then applied IRF liberally to the bites. She had an excellent relief of both pain and itching; slept very well that night.
Friday morning, 8/31, Victim was so impressed with improvement that she took pictures again----after ONLY overnight, probably about 8 hours since application of IRF. The pain and itching DID NOT RETURN after the FIRST application. She continued to use the IRF two to three times daily for the next 3-5 days to prevent any scars from her initial scratching. She did get a few of the usual "pus spots" in the course of healing (recall that initial application of IRF was at least 24 hours AFTER the bites); again, NO RETURN of either pain or itching. To date (after almost 60 days) there are no scars.

Testimony by Mother of Boy:"Our 19 year-old son, Evan, home for summer break was prepping his picu up truck to be repainted. This required using a heat gun to move the paint. He accidentally touched his arm on the hot metal and received a second degree burn 4 x 2 inches. He immediately rinsed it in cool water, let it dry and applied straight emu oil before we covered the wound with sterile gauze. He had no pain. The dressing was changed everyday for one week. By saturating a smaller piece of gauze with emu oil, this prevented it from sticking to the wound. Emu oil was applied 2-3 times per day, without a bandage, for two more weeks. He never experienced pain, swelling or infection. He continues to use the emu oil once per day..
